The exhibition «The First» is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space flight.

It is a central project of the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space flight. Documents and personal belongings of the first cosmonaut, which were kept for a long time in museums throughout Russia and in personal archives will be presented at the exhibition.

One of the central exhibits of the exhibition is a genuine Vostok 1 return capsule, on which the world's first space flight in the history of mankind took place on April 12, 1961.

Also you will see rare items specially brought from all over Russia related to the period studies of Yuri Gagarin.

In addition to rare artifacts, we have prepared models and reconstructions:

• The reconstruction of the dugout in which the Gagarins lived throughout the occupation of the Second World War.
• Model of the ejection seat of the Vostok spacecraft, in which Yuri Gagarin made the world's first space flight and returned safely to Earth, and other exhibits.
